This wedding at Crabtree’s Kittle House was absolutely perfect! It’s a wedding venue with beautiful interior and exterior spaces. It has a wonderful spot for outdoor weddings which includes a great view. The bridal suite has a very feminine, almost antique vibe that matches the colonial exterior. And the food was delicious 🙂
Crabtree Kittle House Review
An outdoor wedding for many couples is a dream location. The wedding ceremony area at Crabtree’s Kittle House looks like you’re nestled within a clearing in the woods. The landscaping is very naturalistic with a great view. They even had tables and chairs on the side — great for parents of young children 🙂
After the ceremony we had a short photo session of portraits with the families, the bridal party, and of course the couple. One thing I always look for as a photographer, are spaces with soft lighting or shade. And Crabtree’s Kittle House has lots of little walkways surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers. You literally won’t run out of options for your portraits. And you’re free to just go anywhere. Read my blog post Make the Most of Your Wedding Portraits where I talk about using a variety of spaces for portraits — not just the tried and true “portrait locations.”
Here are photos of their outdoor ceremony.
And here are some wedding portraits from various places all over Crabtree’s Kittle House.

Wedding Party Shots and Fireworks
It’s so cool when couples and their guests have real, true fun! Everyone is like one big family here and I’m loving it. One of the benefits of having your wedding at Crabtree’s Kittle House on Independence day, is the extra excitement of fireworks! It was such a fitting finale to a really lovely day.
Like most weddings I shoot these days, this was a happy hybrid between film photography and digital. Usually I love the look of film for daytime and outdoor photos, while digital shines in low light, indoor situations.
