Wedding Venues

I love weddings!  And your wedding venue helps to tell your story.

And I love how no two weddings are ever the same, even at the same venue.

Sometimes people ask me if I’ve photographed a wedding at their location. It seems like a good question, right?  Well it is… kinda, but it’s a good question for less than obvious reasons.

My experience is that every single wedding is just as unique as the two people getting married.

So it’s impossible for any two weddings to look or feel the same (why would anyone want that anyway?) I’ve photographed the weddings of sisters, of best friends. I’ve gone to many weddings and run into some of the same wedding guests because they’re all in the same social circles. But guess what? Every single one of those weddings was completely different. I love that.

Part of the fun of being a wedding photographer is using what I’ve learned about that particular couple and looking with fresh eyes at at their location, their color scheme, and all their little details. I love taking the complexity of those two people in love on their big day, and creating art that’s unique and truly represents them.

So if there’s a grand staircase or a gazebo or a fountain or a frequently photographed “wedding photography” location that you want to use, I’ll be happy to photograph you there.  But I’ll also want to go somewhere else, some other cool spot that has great lighting and a good vibe. Who says your wedding pictures have to look like some stranger’s wedding pictures? Nahhh…. You know who you are. Don’t let planning your wedding throw you off.
