Hi! Here's a LONG, Personal, Non-Photography post (rare) about my current thoughts and revelations.⁠
⁠
While watching my favorite movie, the '70s classic "Jesus of Nazareth" I learned something about answered prayer.⁠
⁠
There's a scene w/ young Jesus right after His Bar Mitzvah (artistic license, I know. They didn't have Bar Mitzvahs back then) when rowdy Roman soldiers tear through the little town, taking food. Since they usually came to terrorize and intimidate Jewish communities, people were understandably shaken. There was wailing and crying while women and children scattered to hide.⁠
⁠
In the chaos and fear, as some cried out, one dude says, "How long God? How long?" and another says "God has abandoned us"⁠
⁠
But then the camera cuts to young Jesus, partially hidden in a doorway. And the look in His eyes says: "Oh don't you worry. I've heard your cry. I'm here and the perfect plan is already unfolding" ⁠
⁠
About 20 yrs later Jesus would give His life, offering to save not just the Jews but those same Roman soldiers, and all of us.⁠
⁠
But what's gripping me right now? The amount of time if takes for me to see God's answer to my prayers. And TBH, after a while, giving up on God's ways and timing seems like a smart idea. But it never is. God is always working. He's taking care of small but important details that I can't see. And I've already seen so, SO many answered prayers! Already I've experienced firsthand His faithfulness, love and sovereignty in my life. When the fire is hot, the hardest but wisest thing to do is to wait on the Lord.⁠

I encourage you to wait, in faith, on the Lord.⁠
⁠
