Vera Wang Partners with Pronovias

Vera Wang Bride will now be distributed worldwide via the Pronovias Group

Vera Wang is one of the original Couture Wedding Gown designers and Pronovias is one of the world’s most beloved bridal gown companies. This exclusive wedding gown licensing agreement will feature Vera Wang Bride designs with her classic, signature look, produced by Pronovias. These gowns will retail for $1600-$4000 via Pronovias worldwide. And you can still get custom alterations for the neckline, sleeves, or even raise or lower the waist-line, etc. In this Harper’s Bazaar article, Vera explains that her in-house couture brand will then be rebranded as Vera Wang Haute.

Vera Wang, who is literally the mother of modern wedding gowns, has always wanted to make her design-driven, yet feminine wedding dresses more accessible. I think this partnership is perfect. And living in a post-pandemic world means being able to pivot while still maintaining your core, iconic values.

Here are two different weddings that I photographed of my brides wearing the original couture Vera Wang Bride, soon to be rebranded Vera Wang Haute. April and David married in Cape Cod on the beach. And Anna and Perry married at their church and celebrated on the campus of Yale University.

Each of these dresses are so strong in design and yet so womanly. I specifically remember that both Anna and April moved freely and quite comfortably throughout the wedding day. At no time did I see either of them fussing around with the fit the neckline, the hemline, the bustle, etc. That speaks to the quality of Vera Wang Bride gowns.

There’s a gorgeous Pronovias salon right here in Manhattan. The Vera Wang Bride collection drops Autumn 2021.

Cheers to Pronovias and Vera Wang Bride!

As the mother of two daughters, I have great respect for women. And I don’t ever want to lose that. When I design a wedding dress with a bustle, it has to be one the bride can dance in. I love the idea that something is practical and still looks great.
